Electrolysis for Hair Removal
Electrolysis is a common method of removing unwanted hair. Unwanted hair growth can be caused by hereditary factors and hormonal level. Electrolysis is a method of removing individual hairs from the face or body.
Most areas of the body can be treated with electrolysis, including the eyebrows, face, abdomen, thighs, breasts, and legs. There are no permanent side effects but sometimes a temporary, slight reddening of the skin may occur.
The total number of sessions needed to remove hair permanently from a particular area will vary from person to person. We recommend once a week return appointment. The unwanted hair will be gone forever once the series of treatments is completed. Each treatment can take between 15 minutes and one hour.

After your treatment, do not touch or scratch the area treated!

Do not wash or wear make-up over the treated area for 24 hours. Even washing with soap will cause irritation and possible infection.

Avoid perfume or alcohol-based products (as they will dry out your skin).

Apply 1% hydrocortisone or another antibacterial ointment or cream to the treated area the night after your treatment. It is anti-inflammatory and will reduce redness and swelling. Also works on pimples!

Avoid excessive sweating if having work done below the neck.

Avoid the sun for the next 72 hours to avoid the formation of brown pigment spots.

Do not swim in a chlorinated pool for the first 48 hours following treatment.

If small scabs appear, do not scratch them away. This can cause scarring. Allow them to fall off naturally.

DO NOT TWEEZE, the offending hair can be clipped off with small scissors, shaved or bleached.
Note: Some re-growth is to be expected. If you will return when the first re-growth occurs, the roots are shorter and weaker and therefore can be treated more effectively.
